Esse desenho foi feito para o concurso do site The GHZ, notório por sua enciclopédia sobre todos os jogos da Sonic Team e por seu fórum de humor incrivelmente ácido e rude.

Mas não consegui mandar a tempo.

Bom. Quem já jogou Sonic alguma vez na vida deve reconhecer a primeira fase, Green Hill Zone. Minha idéia foi refazer a fase inteira, nos mínimos detalhes. Tirei várias imagens da fase e montei-as como um mapa no photoshop (o que demorou tempo demais com o meu PC lerdo).

Depois que começei a desenhar, base de cores, fundo, etc, reparei que não daria pra desenhar a fase inteira. Talvez até desse, acho que dá, mas não daria tempo (porque o concurso terminava daqui a 3 horas). Então me concentrei a chegar até o looping, que é o que todos mais lembram e gostam dos primeiros jogos do Sonic.

Mandei o desenho do jeito que estava mesmo, sem os padrões de xadrez nos morros. Agora coloquei os padrões e ficou muito melhor.

O desenho foi todo feito no Photoshop com tablet, minha preguiça não me deixou chegar nem perto de um papel, o que é mau.

Whoever played Sonic at least once must recognize the first level, Green Hill Zone. My idea was to remake it all, every detail. I took several screenshots (nearly 80) and put them together on Photoshop so I could have a map that I could follow. This took me forever due to my slow PC.

After I did some base coloring, background, etc. I realized I wouldn't be able to do the entire level, well, maybe I could but not in time, since the contest would end in 3 hours. So I focused on the getting on the looping section, which is everyone's favourite.

I sent it the way it was, without the checker pattern. Now the checkers are in and it's a lot better.

I did it all on Photoshop and tablet. I couldn't get any near a paper to do this, and that's probably not a good thing.
